Pattaya police investigate assault on tourist near Cozy Beach

Pattaya police are investigating an incident involving an assault on a foreign tourist that occurred in the Pratumnak area. The incident took place near the stairs at Cozy Beach, close to The Chocolate Factory and The Forest by The Sky establishments. According to the victim, an unknown man suddenly punched him in the face around 6:40 PM. After the attack, the suspect immediately fled the scene. The tourist claims that jealousy might have been the reason for the aggression. In his opinion, the assailant might have thought the victim was trying to flirt with his companion. The tourist himself states that he was simply passing by. The victim has filed a police report. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating and attempting to identify the assailant.
