British man arrested in Phuket for armed intrusion

British citizen Amir Hossein Sargazi was arrested in Phuket on charges of "illegal entry into a residence with a weapon as part of a group of persons." The arrest, carried out by officers of the CSD (Crime Suppression Division of the Central Investigation Bureau, CIB), was reported the day before by the provincial office of the Public Relations Department (PR Phuket). Amir Hossein Sargazi was arrested on June 4 based on a warrant issued by the Phuket Provincial Court. After the arrest, the man was transferred to the Cherng Talay subdistrict police station, indicating that this station is handling the case. The 37-year-old Mr. Sargazi also resided in the Cherng Talay subdistrict. However, information about what weapon was used and where exactly he entered is absent from the text. Nothing is said about the victim or the British man's accomplices, but the arrest required the involvement of CIB officers instead of regular provincial police. "The suspect has been charged with illegal entry into a residence with a weapon and the use of force as part of a group of persons. Officials prepared an arrest report, after which the suspect was transferred to the Cherng Talay district police station for further procedural actions," PR Phuket writes.
