At Bangkok international airport, three Indian citizens have been arrested with marijuana

At Bangkok International Airport (TIA), three Indian citizens were arrested for attempting to illegally export marijuana out of the country. According to local law enforcement agencies, the detainees tried to take with them a psychoactive substance that was cultivated in Thailand. This information is reported by OnlineKhabar English News. During baggage inspection, customs officers found marijuana in one of the suitcases belonging to one of the passengers. Further searches revealed that the psychoactive substance was possessed by three Indian nationals. Information about the arrest was passed on to the police, which conducted an investigation and arrested all three Indians. Currently, they are detained in a Thai criminal court. According to representatives of Thailand's customs services, the detainees attempted to take approximately 5 kg of marijuana out of the country, which was cultivated within its territory. The police carried out searches at the residences of the arrested individuals and seized additional evidence. Further actions against the detainees will depend on the results of the investigation. In case the charges are confirmed, Indian citizens could be sentenced to long-term imprisonment or fined. This is not the first such case in Bangkok International Airport over the past few months. Customs officers continue to intensively combat the illegal export of drugs.
